Highlights: Tent sites and RV sites, 3 comfort stations, can accommodate any size motor home.
Trained security guards are on duty 24 hours a day, and they make regular patrols of the campground to insure safety and enforce the campground rules such as: quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 7 p.m., no firearms or fireworks, pets must be on a leash and have current inoculations, no visitors after 10 p.m., and no more than 8 people per site. If your goal is more of a "wilderness" experience, there are primitive campsites on the banks of scenic Chickasaw Creek that can be reached only by boat or 15-to-20-minute hike.

The park has 15 miles of trails for mountain biking. The course is separated into three routes: the long red, the short red, and the yellow. The red and yellow courses are ridden on alternating days of the week. Each course is very well marked. There are three main loops in the park. The most difficult loop, the Beach Loop, is about 7 miles long and is very technical in some places. The Cemetary Loop is fast and open. The Indian Loop is somewhere between with some difficult sections and some fast areas. Almost all of the trail is single track with lots of roots, but few rocks. There has recently been a lot of trail building on the east side of I-65. About 4 miles of new singletrack has been built recently. Now there is basically a 15 mile loop that you can ride without backtracking or stopping. Maps available at the park.

The Park maintains a roped-off swim area on Chickasaw Creek with a white sandy beach for sun worshipers and swimmers. The refreshing, clear water is ice cold even in the dog days of summer, providing welcome relief from the heat and humidity. Picnic tables, grills, and playground equipment are also located in the beach area. Covered pavilions are available to reserve for company picnics, family reunions, or other group outings. A boat launch ramp is located just upstream of the swim area.
