From Klagenfurt, take the Wörthersee-Südufer-Strasse west out of town toward Maria Wörth. At Reifnitz am Wörthersee, turn left on Seenstrasse (southward direction) and follow the main road through the towns until you come to a roundabout. Turn right onto Plaschischen and go a short distance to the next roundabout, turn right again and follow the main road up to the parking lot.

Pyramiden Kögel is a short day hike that can last as long as going from the parking lot to the base of the outlook tower (and up for the view, because it's well worth the view of Wörthersee and the surrounding lands) to a day's worth of exploring the multiple trails. The change in elevation from the base to the summit is about 140 m (460 ft).
