There are meadows all along the trail to camp in and almost all summer long there are tons of flowers and wildlife to keep you in awe.

One of the best and most popular hikes in Northern Utah. You gain about 4500 feet elevation in 7 1/2 miles. Great scenic hike with a great view of the valley from the top.

Highlights:
More wild flowers than you have ever seen
Near: American Fork, UT
Distance: 12.4 miles round trip
Elevation Gain: 4652 ft
Hike Time: 7.5 hours
Difficulty: Moderate
Trail Condition: Well maintained trail

Great trail for horseback riding with lots of wildlife to view from the trail. The trails are very well maintained and condusive to horsemen. I even know a man who took his horse to the shack... but I would not recommend it!!!

Emerald Lake is filled by a glacier which melts directly into it during the warmest months of the year so it is EXTREMELY cold! Only swim if you are prepared to freeze!
