Driving north from Willows on 99W turn east onto Road 48. Stay right on Road 48, after crossing the canal, the Gravel Pits will be on the right.

Access into the ponds can be a challenge because of the lilly pads around the perimeter. Although fishing is common at this location, it is not advised to eat said fish. More than anything, this location is neat because open ponds and lakes are uncommon for the Sacramento Valley.
