From Colville follow county road 9435 north 23 miles and take county road 9445 at Leadpoint. Turn east at Leadpoint and follow Forest Service road 4720 to the junction with road 7078. Take road 7078 north to junction with road 300. Follow road 300 to trailhead

The trail is 3.2 miles long with an elevation change from start 4090' to 7300'. It is mostly wooded with many panoramic views opening to Kettle Crest, Pend Oreille valley, and the Columbia River valley. Season Huckleberries grow in the area. Dispersed camping, recommend layered clothing, survival kits. The trail is difficult and recommended only in spring, summer, fall.
