!!! Be sure to check the boards for current Bear and Moose Warnings!!!
The park is open year round 24/7, and the Nature Center has events year long as well, included guided winter hikes. Day parking fee $5 for personal vehicles.
The most popular trail is the Rodak Nature trail, a short, ¾ mile nature loop Beaver Viewing Deck and Salmon Viewing Deck. Suitable for everyone the steepest bit is at the trailhead. Other than trying to get a stroller down that incline it's a great walk for all ages.
Other trails include: The Albert Loop Trail 3 miles to Eagle River.
The Dew Mound Trail is a much harder trail, leading up the side of the mountain to really beautiful views of the valley and river below.
There are many other trails, including the end of the Crow Creek Trail (look for that Point ;) )

While I stayed at the River Yurt, the site has three yurt rentals available. The River Yurt was lovely, and our entire four day stay only one set of hikers came by. We were right on the edge of the gravel river bed and the yurt included wood frame bunks, a stove, and a wood supply.
ALL the Yurts are hike in only, so carry in/carry out everything you need/used.
River Yurt and Rapids Yurk both sleep six, price includes parking for four cars.
Classroom Yurt sleeps 45, has a gas stove and gas lamps. I do not know about parking, but assume that bus parking is included.
