BLM Acreage Alaska

But, other than, the BLM tract is a great place for a day hike, and it connects to some of the other large parks in the city on the same side of town. I've actually started at the Botanical Gardens on Campbell Airstrip Road and walked with my daughter all the way to Hilltop Ski Area where we had lunch at the year round cafe and catching the bus to take us back into town since she was tired off of Abbott Road.

With 730-acres the tract is a great winter spot for snowmobiling although your asked to stay off groomed trails meant for skiers. A lot of the residents park at the above mentioned parks which in the winter are open until six. Again, see animal warning above, but in general the tract is a great place for horseback riding with hundreds of acres and trails, and connects to the Ruth Arcand Equestrian Park (must cross Abbott Road, but residents are used to horse crossings)
